You can manage the settings of the email notifications in your account settings.

  1. Make sure you are logged in,
  2. Click on your name, next to your profile picture in the menu,
  3. Select “account”, “email preferences”.

Here you can choose which email notifications you want to receive, such as notifications of the activity feed, personal messages, social groups, forums and connections.

  1. Go to the discussion page,
  2. Click on the group you want to join,
  3. You will find a button “join group”. By clicking on this button you become a group member, which means that you will be able to join conversations and get notifications on new topics, documents and/or activity.

  2. Click on the button “launching a new group”,
  3. You will now be able to fill out a contact form,
  4. By sending the contact form you are requesting the launch of a new group and one of our moderators will contact you shortly.

 ! Notice: you need to be a group member to do this.

  1. Go to the group,
  2. Click on the 3rd option in the menu: “documents”,
  3. Click on “Upload file”, type a message and select the visibility of the publication.
  1. Click on your name, next to your profile picture in the menu,
  2. Click on “documents”, “my documents”.
  3. Here you will find two options; you can create folders for your publications or upload your publications directly,
  4. Click on “Upload file”, type a message and select the visibility of the publication [public, all members, all connections, only me].

If you want to contribute to the RRC by writing a blog post you can send an email to: researchcommunity@rescaled.org or fill out the contact form.

Only when logged in, people will be able to see the activity on the RRC. People without an account on the RRC cannot enter the forums, groups or visit the member directory.

  1. Go to the profile of the member you want to contact,
  2. You can do this by hovering over to “discussion” in the menu and selecting “members”, [you will find all members here.]
  3. Make sure you are connected, if not, send a connection request by clicking on the icon at the bottom of the member card, [before messaging you must wait for the member to accept your connection request],
  4. When you are connected, by clicking on the envelope, you will go to the chat function of the RRC where you can send messages, share files, pictures, and video’s.

Every group has its own forum. Before you open a new forum topic, choose the discussion group that is best suited for your topic.

  1. Go to discussion and choose the group,
  2. Select the option “discussion” in the group menu,
  3. Click on “new discussion” to open your topic.

  2. Select the option “documents”, “my documents”,
  3. You’ll find all your publications here,
  4. When you look at the publications, you will see 3 dots on the right, on which you can click,
  5. By clicking on the dots, you can select the option; “delete”.

  5. By clicking on the dots, you can select the option; “rename”, “edit” or “move”.

If you want your event to be displayed at the RRC, you can send an email to: researchcommunity@rescaled.org or fill out the contact form.

  1. Go to the profile of the user,
  2. Click on the 3 dots next to connected, follow, message… and select “Block”,
  3. You will have to confirm the message below to block a member. When blocked, a member will not be able to contact you anymore.

  1. Click on your name, next to your profile picture in the menu,
  2. Select the option; “account”, click on “blocked members”, on this page you will find the option to unblock a member.

! A member will be suspended after being blocked for 3 times. The moderators of the RRC will be notified when this happens.

  1. Select the forum topic you want to block and hover over the message,
  2. On the right top of the content two buttons will appear,
  3. Select; “more actions” and click on; “spam”.

! When content is reported for two times, the content will be hidden for everyone. The moderators of the RRC will be notified when this happens.
