Basic Restorative Justice Skills – Online training course

“This online course focuses on putting restorative principles and values into action and it invites participants to learn, develop and practice core restorative communication and facilitation skills. Attendees will have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with both proactive and reactive restorative approaches and methods in a safe and encouraging learning environment.

The course aims to build skills in three areas:

• Restorative communication in interpersonal and small group settings (e.g., restorative inquiry, active listening, I- messages)
• Restorative conferencing facilitation
• Circle facilitation with special emphasis on proactive, thematic, and problem-solving circles.

The learning is organised through active participation, group exercises, role-plays, and common reflections. Real-life examples are discussed through the use of videos and case studies.

The objective of this course is to give participants an opportunity to learn and develop skills in certain proactive and reactive restorative methods that they can use in interpersonal or group settings in their work and life.

The course takes place online (via Zoom) and it is delivered in English by senior trainers and practitioners: Dr Borbála Fellegi and Dr. Susanna Z. Papp, both EFRJ registered trainers.”
